Our heroes begin their investigation of the Iron Dragon train station and Jo Kelly's claims that folk are being kidnapped every year right under the nose of the authorities.  But first, they take time to celebrate a relatively new national holiday and give thanks for what they have.

With the tongs and the gluttonous ogre defeated and Haru returned to his right mind, our heroes try to grab what sleep they can before the next day starts.  Rachel has a visitor and makes a deal with unknown consequences.  Lord William Greystoke reiterates his intention to visit Dead Lake to see the bioluminescence there and asks the posse to accompany him.  What will they find at Dead Lake?  Why are the locals so hesitant to speak of it?  What monster could be dwelling in its depths and will the heroes survive?

 they call the Enlightened Dawn.

  And it's been the ruin of many a poor soul.

The posse takes on a tong of Chinese warriors guarding a fishery warehouse as a favor to the Xincheng Sheriff, Lum Xue.  Will they uncover the mystery of why the criminal organization has been acting so strangely?  And what will they find in the House of the Enlightened Dawn?
